CHILLIBRANÍ 2023 at Bzzzukot on September 2

We are finishing preparations for the sharpest event of the year! The 11th edition! On Saturday, September 2, 2023, chilli lovers will gather in Bzzzukot in Brno ! This year’s harvest of chilli peppers and their products will be tasted. The pleasant summer gastro festival will offer plenty of stalls with food, drinks, chilli in all its forms, an accompanying programme on and off the stage and its main part will be, as usual, the CHILLIŽROUT 2023 competition – the Czech and Slovak Chilli Eating Championship. The event will take place in all weather conditions.
Relaxation, chillies, craft beers, hot and non-hot delicacies and a chillimarket.
The event will be held in a relaxed spirit. The Bzzzukot area in Brno’s Židenice is freely accessible, so from 11.00 a.m. visitors will be able to sample goodies from the stalls, buy chilli sauces, peppers and things needed for growing. At each stall there will be at least one spicy and non-spicy food available. There will be a variety of beers from small craft breweries. Those who don’t like spicy foods will also find their own booths. There will always be at least one spicy or non-spicy food on the menu. The day will be enriched by an accompanying programme. The Chillibraní venue is full of greenery, ideal for a picnic.
Accompanying programme
During the day there will be a competition in eating a spicy burger from our partner U Dřeváka Beer&Grill, as well as a beer competition with our partner brewery. Sauces, chutneys and similar chilli yummies will be tasted and judged, one of which will win the Product of the Year award.
The main part of the program will be at 18:00 CHILLIŽROUT 2023 and at the end the band concert. (we will announce what it will be at the end of July).
Chilližrouti
CHILLIŽROUT 2023 – The Czech and Slovak Spice Eating Championships are the highlight of the event every year and especially the show that entertains participants and spectators. This year, chillirouts will consume chilli sauces and fresh chillies of the best quality, ranging from spiciness of around 10 thousand SHU to samples containing SHU in the millions. There will be approximately twelve rounds of competition, with each round increasing the capsaicin content of the prepared sample. Both men and women compete. To participate in the competition, registration is required at stránce pro soutěžící. Letos bez omezení počtu soutěžících.
The festival is held under the auspices of the Governor of the South Moravian Region Mgr. Jan Grolich, Mayor of Brno JUDr. Markéta Vaňková and Deputy Mayor of Brno Židenice Jan Št’astná.
