Championship of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in eating spicy food – Chiližrout 2023
A few words about the competition:

At the start, there will be 20 contestants who will be presented with sauces in finger food portions (on sausages, bread, vegetables) or fresh chili peppers. The content of capsaicin, the component that causes that hot and blissful sensation, not only in the mouth, will have an increasing tendency. We will start with something 5 times stronger than the well-known Tabasco and progress according to the participants’ resistance and taste preferences. The base for the sauces will be pork neck and white Bavarian sausages. If you are a vegetarian, we will prepare a vegetarian version for you – just fill out the item in the registration form.

    How to Survive Chilli Eaters?

The main thing is to eat well. Going to such a competition on an empty stomach is a guaranteed way to head home after just the first round. Ideal foods are dairy, full-fat products, but even if you stuff yourself with a portion of grandma’s fair bacon, it won’t ruin anything. Otherwise, it’s completely unnecessary and undesirable to have stage fright, be in any discomfort, nervousness, and so on. We completely understand that sitting on stage with more than 2,000 people staring at you, and with every competitor next to you, can be nerve-wracking. But nerves play a part in how your stomach works, and it should be in the best condition possible. Shake it off, don’t be afraid, we’ll help you with everything, ask those who have competed before (many of them do it every year). Being on stage is fun and, to some extent, even comfortable. Forget about the audience, and if you suffer from any social phobia, imagine all those guys without shirts.
